Rehab Therapy Project

Rehab Therapy Project

This project was a therapy suite consisting of 5 offices, a lobby, and a group room/break room.

The challenges:

  • They had some existing furniture pieces they wanted to use to keep costs down so we needed to find new pieces that would still be cohesive.

  • Each of the offices served a different type of clientele, so they needed to be designed to meet different needs.

  • The group room needed to be able to accommodate clients in the room as well as virtual clients. They wanted to be able to serve drinks and snacks but didn't want a table to make it feel like a conference room.

House of Payne Project

 House of Payne Project

This project was a complete primary bath renovation, and a kitchen and fireplace facelift.

The challenges:

  • We wanted to make an old world style home feel more contemporary.

  • Enlarging the size of the shower and keeping a soaking tub.

  • Brightening up the kitchen area

New Build, Who Dis Project

New Build, Who Dis Project

This project was a new build home for a family with two small kids.

The challenges:

  • Designing a home that didn't exist yet.

  • We wanted the home to be luxurious but also casual and kid friendly.

Higher Learning Project

Higher Learning Project

This project was for a non profit organization that helps children complete their education from 5th grade through the college years.  It was an 85% renovation with all of the finishes being replaced and new spaces being created. The space had been vacant for  years and was formerly a call center so it required a lot of imagination.

The challenges

  • Anticipating how the space would need to be used in the future as the program developed. Most areas needed to be multipurpose; combining the ability to transition between a workspace and classroom space. Very few spaces were assigned a permanent specific task. We kept the furniture repositionable and wired the outlets in the center of the room from the ground up so as not to obstruct any future needs to reconfigure the space.

  • Since most of the area was wide open on the student side of the building, we needed a place where students/staff could go for privacy and/or quietness. We built 3 sound suppressed rooms to satisfy this need.

  • Storage was a must as they were consolidating multiple spaces into this facility. I did not fully style the shelving areas for this reason.
